Day of the Dead 2012... By Stephanie Brockway

For the last few years I've had the pleasure of curating this show @ Guardino Gallery.  We had a great opening, and I wanted to be sure you didn't miss it. If you cant make it in, here is a little preview. Two other PAC members have work in the show this year. Tory Brokenshire & Dayna Collins
The crowds came to celebrate and see the show!
So much Good Art
But kinda hard to see up close, at times....Guests came with their faces painted, or got painted at the party. As is the tradition!

If you haven't gotten in to see Portia Jenkins, or ALL the other amazing art, there's still time!! The show is up @ Guardino Gallery until Nov.18th. Get details on Facebook! HERE

I hope to SEE you there!!!

Last night was the opening gala for the Beaverton Showcase.  My Dark River of Stars book was there so I attended as an artist.  I was very surprised to find that DRS had not only won 1st Place in its category (mixed media) but also taken BEST IN SHOW!!

The exhibit is at the Beaverton Library (12375 SW 5th Ave, Beaverton) and runs through next Sunday, November 11th.  Stop by and see all the art!

New Original Holly Christmas Cards

I love Holly. Every year I do a new Christmas Card featuring Holly. Here are two different styles. The holly is cut from a textured handmade paper and a hand painted paper but are much lighter in feeling. Every year I do holly but they always look different.

Assemblage Birds from Jennifer Campbell

I've got art shows coming up in November and December and have been creating new assemblage pieces for the shows.  My favorites are these new bird assemblages created using vintage tins, watch parts and piano parts.  Each measures about 7" from beak to toe.

Sue's virtual studio tour

A couple of years ago I completed a home remodel adding a new garage. The garage has extra space for a work bench for encaustic and other messy projects.

My new studio includes wall to ceiling shelves for supplies behind closet doors.

My work in progress.
