Framing Time

I'm in the final steps of getting things framed for our show this coming week.  It snuck up so quickly!  Here are some of my fabric creations for this year.   I'm framing most of them in small floating or matted frames and am really happy with the way they look.  Most of these pieces are experiments with the traditional crazy quilt form.

A few of my more textural pieces like this are going in deeper, shadow box frames:

Paula's New Felted Treasures

This weekend, I made several felted items for our PAC Open Doors Show and Sale. The felted guardian angels dangle and can be hung anywhere to add color and peace.

The felted pin cushions add pizazz to any sewer's work space.

Hand felted bags by Tory

I'm bringing all the bags to the "Open Doors" show. I have others that are not pictured. They have been fun to make because each one is unique.

Lace Desk Accessories by Lenall Siebenaler

This summer, I hosted an art sleep-over for my 12 year old nephew, Matthias, his mother, Lisa, and his good friend, Ryan. Both boys are very artistic and I had several projects planned. We managed to cram several of them into the day and 1/2 art-a-thon. And we had a blast!
One of them was working on my desk accessory line. They helped me to prototype the final look. I've been "decorating" composition books and calendars for the past 6 years. I love carrying these distinctive books with me. Each year, they've changed a bit. This year they changed alot. I think this years' line is my best one yet. I hope you like them as much as I do! Both are $8.00 each. I have also done some cards that are very soft and lacy using the same technique!

Thanks!

Felted Pins By Lenall Siebenaler

I started creating felted pins Oct 25th and I finially finished last night. Again I couldn't stop! Is this compulsion or just too much fun? It seemed like I just kept creating prototypes. So I have two categories: Flowers and Holly. Both are made with a combination of felted sweaters and handfelted materials. I hope you'll find a couple you like because at $10.00 and $12.00 you can be compulsive, or is it impulsive?

New Blank Journals Made for Open Doors Show

Our Portland Art Collective Show is just around the corner, the first weekend in December. I've been busy preparing blank journals to sell. The handmade journals include 140# Arches watercolor paper, handmade paper covers and inside covers and beaded bookends. It's fun
to sketch, watercolor, collage or write in a new journal. I used one of my blank journals
as a travel sketchbook durning a recent trip to Mexico. Check out my Dreamcicle Journeys blog for ideas on how to use these books.
